Cindy L. Dickinson B.A., LL.B.
A St. Catharines native, Cindy received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Administrative Studies from Brock University, followed by an LLB from the University of Windsor. Having obtained her degree, she relocated to London, Ontario where she joined Dyer Brown and completed her articles before being called to the Bar in 1995.
Seizing a unique opportunity, Cindy traded one London for another when she migrated to England for a year to complete a pupillage at the Inns of Court. She again returned to Dyer Brown in 1996 to operate an extensive practice which included insurance defence, accident benefits claims, landlord & tenant disputes, employment & estate litigation, and WSIB claims.
1998 found Cindy in the Kitchener region, practicing law at Giffen LLP and its predecessor firm, Giffen Lee LLP, where she focused on insurance defence. Her practice included municipal liability, personal injury, accident benefits claims, loss transfer and priority disputes, coverage opinions and occupiers’ liability. She was also active in (non-union) Employment Law which included wrongful dismissal and contractual disputes, workplace policies, and employment contracts.
Having joined the predecessor firm to McCormick, Haney, Brimblecombe & Code LLP in 2013, Cindy now involves herself primarily in insurance defence and accident benefits, with the balance of her practice driven by plaintiff representation in personal injury claims.
Over the course of her career, Cindy has appeared before the Superior Court, FSCO and WSIAT.
She enjoys travelling, golfing and spending time relaxing at her cottage.
